Hurricane Lowell Update: Our Current Operations

Following Hurricane Lowell’s impact on Kauaʻi on September 7–8, Holoholo Charters remains temporarily paused as our island, harbor, and team continue moving through recovery.
An assessment of the Port Allen launch ramp has now been completed and the report has been issued. However, we are still awaiting further clarity and direction from the State regarding the ramp and what comes next. Until we have that information, we cannot resume normal tour operations.
Tour Cancellations
At this time, all tours are canceled through October 10.
Our team is contacting affected guests directly. Guests who booked through a third-party activity provider should continue working directly with the company through which they made their reservation.
We know these continued extensions can be disappointing, especially for guests looking forward to experiencing the Nāpali Coast with us. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate circumstances outside our control.
Looking Ahead
While our tours are paused, our team is actively preparing for what comes next.
Annual vessel maintenance has been underway during this period, allowing us to use this unexpected downtime productively while we await the clarity needed to move forward safely. Our goal remains the same: to return to the water when we can do so safely, responsibly, and with the experience our guests expect from Holoholo Charters.
We are incredibly grateful for the support our team has received since Lowell. Kauaʻi’s recovery is ongoing, and many businesses, families, and community members continue to feel the effects of the storm.
Our office and retail store are currently open 8:00 am–3:00 pm HST.
